Loquela

A complete Android keyboard with private voice typing.

Speech to text that can run entirely on the device, so dictation never has to leave the phone. A full keyboard underneath it: autocorrect, themes, and granular privacy controls.

The longer version
  • Voice that stays on the phone Speech recognition runs on the device by default. You pick the model (Parakeet, Moonshine, Whisper and others), compare them by download size, speed and accuracy, and switch any time.
  • Built for dictating Up to five minutes at a stretch on supported models, with optional spoken punctuation, voice undo and Say again. Custom words and voice replacements fix the names and terms a model gets wrong.
  • A real keyboard underneath Not a dictation bolt-on. Autocorrect that fixes real typos and leaves correct words alone, swipe typing, themes, a one-handed mode and a split layout on tablets. QWERTY, Dvorak and Colemak, plus keyboards for 14 more languages.
  • Private by default No ads, and keyboard data is never sold. In password and private fields it switches off suggestions, learning, voice input and clipboard history. You can see and control what leaves the phone.
  • Free, and not a trial The free version is the complete everyday keyboard with a curated set of local voice models. Full is a one-time purchase with no subscription. It is on Google Play now, and the iPhone version is in progress with a signup list open.

  • An operator stays in the loop Outreach is email and SMS today. Everything stays reviewable by an operator before it goes out.
  • Models on hardware we control The models are custom-trained and run on our own hardware, instead of shipping the data to a vendor and renting API calls.
  • Where it stands Stage one is an internal operator tool, in use with select clients today. Stage two is hosted software for other acquisitions teams.
